Fort @ UM Meet
June 26th
Good morning Gator fam!
Tomorrow is our first regular season home meet. We will be hosting Fort Washington Swim Club and we need your help! Thank you to everyone who has RSVP'd to let us know if your swimmer is swimming tomorrow or not. If you haven't gotten your RSVP in, please do so before 11AM today. If we do not have an RSVP for your swimmer, they will not be able to swim in the meet regardless of availability.
Report times:
- Divers will report at 6:45am, diving will commence at 8am
- Swimmers will report at 8:00am, swimming will commence at approximately 9:00am (or as soon as diving is complete)
- The meet will only be rescheduled in the event of lightening/thunder so even if it is raining, we will have the meet. You're welcome to bring an umbrella.
Theme:
- Dress like a coach in addition to your team suit!
Snack Stand/Food:
- We are still waiting for some snack stand donations. The greatest need at this time is for candy, including chocolate (which we can store in the freezer). Please bring your donations ASAP or with you when you arrive for the meet tomorrow. They can be dropped off in the shed at any time.
- Gator Grille will be selling breakfast sandwiches again tomorrow. These were a big hit at Swim Blast because they were DELICIOUS!
- We will also have coffee available tomorrow.
Volunteers still needed:
- Please sign up for jobs for tomorrow. The meet can not run without a full roster of volunteers.
- We especially need the following:
- Dive judge
- Lane writer
- Announcer
- There are other jobs but these are most important.
What to bring:
- Wear your team suit.
- Goggles (plus a spare)
- Swim Cap (plus a spare)
- 1-3 towels (rainy days make kids extra chilly)
- A non-technology activity to keep swimmers occupied between heats
- Water
- Cash for the snack stand or snacks for hungry athletes
Go Gators!
Katie
