Dear UMSC families,

Below you will find important information and registration instructions for the 2022 Gators Swim & Dive team. There are a LOT of exciting changes this year so read carefully!

Practice Schedule (IMPORTANT CHANGES/ADDITIONS):

Practice groups & times will be determined based on registration numbers and child assessment performed by coaches during the first week of practice. Practice times will fall somewhere in the following (tentative) timeframes.

5/31 - 6/10 (weekdays): 4:00 to 6:30 pm

6/13 - 7/29 (weekdays): 7:45 to 10:45 am (AND 4:30 to 6:30 pm: see below)

We’ve heard from our families that they want more options for practice times, and we’re happy to share that we will offer late afternoon swim practices for families whose schedules do not permit them to attend in the morning. These sessions are tentatively planned from 4:30 to 6:30, two days per week in addition to morning practices. Only half of the Tillman pool will be available for these practices so participation will be based on NEED only. We’re working out the exact schedule and will share details soon, and we may adjust the times based on feedback during registration to accommodate as many families as possible.

Cost:

First child per family: $140

Second child: $120

Third Child: $100

No charge for additional children

Mini-Gators (IMPORTANT ADDITION):

This season we will introduce a new part of our team, the Mini-Gators! This group will consist of 5 & 6 year-olds with no swim team experience. They will practice 3 mornings per week concurrently with Gator practices (exact times TBD). Cost is $80 per swimmer.

Register for Mini-Gators using the same process (below) as for the “Big Kids.” The registration form will automatically charge 5 & 6 year olds the Mini-Gator fee based on their birthday (cut-off day is June 1st). If you feel a five or six year old may be advanced enough for the main team, bring them to assessments (week of 5/31) and, if they qualify, the balance can be paid later.
