UMSC Gators January "Newsletter"
Dear Gator Families,
To avoid sending a barrage of emails we hope to include as much information as possible in this “Newsletter.” There is a lot of info below regarding fundraising, committees and plans for the summer so please take a moment to read through everything.
Team Membership Rates:
First and foremost, we are currently reassessing the rates that we charge for team membership. We are, by far, the least expensive team in our league (our 2021 rates came out to approximately $1 per hour per team member) and dues have not changed for quite a few years. In addition, we have been in the red over the last two years despite delaying the purchase of some much needed equipment so an increase is in the future. Regardless of any potential increase we will continue to maintain a cap for large families.
Fundraising:
Speaking of finances, fundraisers are on-going. Our Christmas Tree Ornaments are in. If you ordered, please see the previous emails to arrange pickup. If you did not order and would like one (or more), we have extras! Simply reply to this email if interested.
We also have 2 restaurant fundraisers coming up very soon. Please add them to your calendars:
- Palz Tap House in Huntingdon Valley on Monday January 10th. This is an all day event so stop by for lunch if you’re free! You can eat in or order online for pickup. Make sure to mention the Gators when ordering by any method.
- MOD Pizza in Willow Grove on Monday January 24th. This is an all day fundraiser as well. More info, including our online ordering code will follow.
Donations:
In response to the survey sent out at the end of the summer, many of you offered to make donations to the team to help offset costs. We are currently working out a system to accept electronic payments and will be in touch with details on how to donate.
Team Committees:
In the next couple months we will begin planning for the summer season. If you volunteered to help out, be on the lookout for emails from committee organizers.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please don't hesitate to reply.
Thank you
